Can you use extra cash? Couldn’t we all! It’s time again for our eight annual parish fundraiser that can be a “win-win” situation ~ a win for you and a win for the parish. It’s the 300 Club. Only 300 tickets will be sold at $100 per ticket with the chance to win the Grand Prize of $5,000 and four other cash prizes. You can either buy one ticket yourself for $100 or get a few family/friends to go in with you for the cost of the ticket and share your winnings when your number is drawn. Tickets will be sold after all Sunday masses (Cash, Check or credit card may be used) Nov. 10th through Dec. 8th. Tickets will also be available in the Parish Office during the week. The Social Action Committee will be conducting the annual Thanksgiving Turkey Dinner Drive on Sunday, November 24th from 8:30 am to 12:15 pm in the Church parking lot abutting the school. As in the past, we will gratefully accept complete dinners, or just turkeys or just the fixings (gravy, potatoes, stuffing, vegetables, dessert, etc.). The donations you give are distributed to a number of local charities, as well as to our own parishioners.

The price is $50 per family (parents & kids) and additional family members (grandparents) are $5 each. October 27 from 3-5 PM. Trunk-or-Treat is a spin on traditional trick-or-treating. Rather than going house to house, families decorate their cars and children trick-or-treat at decorated cars in the Church Parking lot. Our trunk or treat will include decorated cars, fall fest activities and treats, and music! We are looking for parishioners to volunteer to be a part of this event by offering to decorate their car. All are invited to the Blessing of the Rectory on October 20th. The 12 PM Mass will be celebrated by Bishop John O'Hara who will then bless the new rectory. There will be an Open House between 1-3 PM.

The Mass book for January through June will open on Friday, October 11th at 8:30am - 3:00pm Limit 3 Masses per family - no Masses will be taken over the phone! Mass intentions are $20 per mass. There are double Mass intentions on Wednesday at 9:00 AM and Saturday at 5:00 PM. Double mass intentions are $10 per mass. Forms may be picked up at the parish office.

The New York Catholic Bible School of the Archdiocese of New York offers the Scriptural foundations of faith and provides ongoing formation for adults. The Bible School helps to deepen knowledge of and appreciation for Sacred Scripture, enabling Catholics to share the Word of God with those served through various parish ministries. On June 15th Joseph Crothers, a parishioner of St. Augustine’s since 1975, was ordained to the Diaconate at St. Patrick’s Cathedral. Deacon Joe has been preparing for this day since 2014 when he entered St. Joseph’s Seminary, Dunwoodie, as an inquirer into the Diaconate Formation Program.
