Having entered his fourth year in the Diaconate Formation Program, Joe Crothers recently participated in the final milestone Mass on the road toward ordination this coming June. The Mass occurred at St. Joseph’s Seminary, Yonkers on December 7, and was for Institution of Acolytes and Readers. Mr. Crothers was appointed as an Acolyte. The primary duty of an Acolyte is to attend to the service of the altar and to assist the Deacon and the Priest in liturgical celebrations, especially in the celebration of Mass. The vestment of an Acolyte is a white Alb and Cincture. Father Bill, Deacon Jim, and Deacon Sam attended the Mass. Please continue to pray for Joe, the men in formation, and those discerning a vocation.
