Moving Forward Center for Safety and Change Collection

Starting July 6 ^th and throughout the month of July, the Social Action Committee will once again be accepting donations to support the  Moving Forward program of the Center for Safety & Change in New City, NY.  The  Moving Forward program helps survivors of domestic violence or sexual assault prepare to transition from living at the Shelter to living on their own.  Items most needed at this time include kitchen utensils, measuring cups/spoons, pots and pans, ovenware/bakeware, serving bowls/platters, flatware, blankets/comforters/pillows (all sizes), flashlights, liquid dish soap, laundry detergent, paper towels, facial tissues, toilet paper and very gently used or new small appliances (blenders, crock pots, coffee makers, toasters, hand mixers, etc.).  Our collection “house” will be available in the gathering space during the month.  Please consider contributing to this worthy cause and helping those who are trying to regain a sense of normalcy in their lives.  A big thanks to those who contributed to our 2018 drive, where almost 1,000 items were donated.
