Do you suffer from Celiac disease and can’t receive the body of Christ at Sunday mass because the host is made of gluten? The church has your solution. There are communion hosts that are available to you that are almost 100% free of gluten. If you wish to receive holy communion with a gluten free host, come to the sacristy and ask the priest, deacon or sacristan for a gluten free host to be consecrated. It will be separated from all other hosts and given to you separately in its own container (pyx). We hope this announcement makes the sacrament of holy communion more available to you in the coming months.
