Come join the adventure on an uncharted island, where little castaways will survive & thrive as they learn through Bible stories, songs, crafts, games & snacks, that they can be anchored in the truth that Jesus carries them through life storms.

We're looking for camp counselors who will help guide participants and participate in songs, dances, games, & crafts with our little VBS castaways!

Qualifications

Entering 8th graders and up
Kind, responsible, attentive, & patient
Love for working with kids!
Available for the whole week of VBS (August 12-16) and possibly available to assist with set up the weekend before VBS (August 10-11)

Responsibilities

Enthusiastically greet kids & engage them in participation
Guide group to the different activities for the week
Participate in games, crafts, stories, dances & songs
Assist in the event set up
Be a buddy to a VBS kid.

All volunteers and camp counselors will be responsible for attending a training session where responsibilities and procedures will be explained. There is also a mandatory safety training.

  Loving God, you have entrusted us with the message of your power, grace, justice, and love. We ask for your guidance, that we may be counselors, teachers, and learners together. We pray for those who will assist with Vacation Bible School- for the counselors, the adult volunteers, and the coordinators that they answer your call to serve your little ones. We pray for the participants, that their eyes, ears, and hearts be open to your message and love. Bless each person involved in VBS, enabling them to be channels of your grace. We pray all these things through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
